This unique brewery serves up tasty in-house craft brews. As a smaller brewery, Bicentennial specializes in small batch brewing. They brew half-barrel and one-barrel batches. Usually, they have six of these house brews on tap alongside six local and regional beers.

At any given time, they have selections from New England IPAs, West Coast IPAs, sours, stouts, and porters along with fruit beers and other assorted creations.

This Belgian-influenced brewery has been putting out high-quality brews since 2018. Utilizing a 3-barrel brewhouse, they regularly put out light beers, hop-bomb IPAs, robust stouts, and an incredible line of sours.

Some of their Lager-style brews are: Lover Never Takes: This light, Bavarian lager has soft floral notes and bright malty sweetness on the back end. Mr. Sippi: This nod to the classic Pilsner is the perfect mowing-the-lawn beer. Daydreams & Nightmares: This springtime lager is a blend of soft malt-forward sweetness and toasted biscuity goodness with a clean finish.

Two of their malty brews look great, as shown here: O’Hanrahan’s Curse: Huge notes of sticky toffee and caramel dominate the palate of this gorgeous red ale but don’t worry—it’s still dry enough to keep you coming back sip after sip. Jolly & Joyous: Warming notes of toffee and caramel give way to alluring and rich dark fruit wrapped up in a surprisingly drinkable package.

Unlike the two featured above, this brewery is located in Hattiesburg, which puts it a little over an hour away from Jackson. However, it’s always good to have options with your brews and this could easily become a mini daytrip. With a 3.83 rating on Untappd, they must be brewing something special.

In their taproom, they’re currently serving four flagships beers: Devil’s Harvest: IPA – Session / Inda Session Ale, SoPro Light: Lager – American Light, Crowd Control: IPA – Imperial / Double, Suzy B: Blonde Ale.
