BMW X3 sDrive30i
Let’s start with what’s under the hood of the entry-level BMW X3, which feels anything but entry-level. The 2.0L TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine revs up to 248 horsepower, with high-precision direct injection technology ensuring precise gear changes with this engine that’s mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Apple CarPlay® compatibility comes standard in this BMW, allowing you to connect a smartphone to the touchscreen in the center stack area. Access your favorite apps, including navigation, music, and text messages, so you not only know where you’re going, but can let friends or family know when you’re getting there. Ten-way power front sport seats with 2-way power side bolsters deliver comfort regardless of where you’re heading next. Plus, the memory system for the driver’s seat recalls the settings you had, even if someone else has taken the wheel. SensaTec upholstery gives the cabin a sporty, yet sleek feel with this material providing support on those longer drives. Design-wise, these seats are joined by the classy dark oak wood trim, which gives the interior an elevated feel. Advanced tech features allow you to have a smarter drive. The Live Cockpit Plus featuring Navigation with iDrive 6.0 can be controlled via the touchpad controller or 8.8-inch touchscreen. Gain access to a wealth of vehicle data, navigation information, and playlists, ensuring every drive is an engaging one.
BMW X3 xDrive30i
BMW xDrive is the X3 model’s all-wheel drive system, and it comes standard on the xDrive30i. If you’re out on the roads, you may want to get a better grip on things, particularly if things get slick on a rainy Mississippi afternoon. Thanks to this system, you’ll get that increased traction on the roads, ensuring a safer drive on wet roads.
Outside of this feature, this trim is the same as the rear-wheel drive edition of the X3 we discussed above.
BMW X3 M40i
The performance version of the X3, this trim features a more powerful engine. The 3.0L V6 makes 382 horsepower. You still get the same great 8-speed automatic transmission, with selectable driving modes including ECO PRO, COMFORT, and SPORT. The M sport suspension delivers a smooth ride, while the M sport brakes are there for you if you need them. Other X3 models come with 18-inch Y-spoke light alloy wheels, while this trim includes 19-inch M-inspired double-spoke bi-color wheels, giving this X3 a sportier feel.
