BMW X3 Review
If you’re looking into a BMW SUV, you likely want to combine luxury with power. There’s no better SUV for the job than the BMW X3, a vehicle that puts the fun back into driving. At BMW of Jackson, our goal is to educate drivers in Jackson, Clinton, Ridgeland, and Madison, MS, about the wonders of the X3.
BMW X3 Performance
As stated above, one of the many benefits of the X3 is its incredible power, which is backed up by three different engines. The first is a 2.0L TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine that gets 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque to go along with an 8-speed STEPTRONIC Sport Automatic transmission.
The second engine is a 3.0L M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine that produces 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque and has an 8-speed STEPTRONIC Sport Automatic transmission. The final engine is paired with the electrified X3 xDrive30e, which is a 2.0L TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor. This engine gets a combined net horsepower of 288 and 310 lb-ft of torque.
The X3 allows you to truly customize your drive with three different drive modes: ECO PRO, COMFORT, and SPORT modes. The transmission also comes with Sport and Manual shift modes for a drive just the way you like.
Everyone wants a vehicle with great miles-per-gallon so they can get from Point A to Point B without constantly keeping an eye on their fuel gauge. The BMW X3 fits the mold here, as it gets up to an EPA-estimated 25 city/29 highway/27 combined MPG and comes with a 17.2-gallon fuel tank on its standard trim level.
There are tried and true methods you can take into your own hands to conserve fuel. However, the X3 has its own way of helping with the Auto Start-Stop function. This feature will automatically shut the engine off when your foot is on the brake, and then start it as soon as you lift it off and begin to move. This saves fuel by eliminating idling with the engine on.
Interior Dimensions
The BMW X3 offers tons of space for you and your passengers to spread out as well as a lot of cargo room, so second trips will be a thing of the past. The X3 gets 41.1 inches of front headroom, 40.3 inches of front legroom, and 57.6 inches of front shoulder room.
In the rear, it gets 38.5 inches of headroom, 36.4 inches of legroom, 56 inches of shoulder room, and 28.7 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
